Abby sleeps outside my attic door while I work on jewelry.
Abby is my constant companion. She waits patiently while I work on my jewelry. Abby follows me all around the house. As I walk from room to room Abby will follow me and before I can turn around she lies down with her chin on the floor. She looks at me innocently as if to say, "Don't mind me."
A shelter dog suffers from separation anxiety because the loss of a pack is so traumatic. A pack is essential to a dog's survival and without the pack the dog suffers. So I feel sorry for Abby. But somehow she has endeared herself to me even though her behavior still has so much to change. I am not sure if I can ever love her like Cassie but Abby is my friend.
